Executives from a major American defense contractor will be making in the rounds Monday in the Grand Forks region.
Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., and other leaders will host Raytheon Co. executives in an effort to recruit the company to Grand Sky business park, according to a news release.
Raytheon specializes in weapons, military and commercial electronics, including air traffic control systems, radar and sensing technology. Some of its work can be seen in unmanned aircraft systems such as the Global Hawk manufactured by Northrop Grumman Corp.
During the Monday meeting, North Dakota’s unmanned aircraft technology and business environment will be highlighted.
If Raytheon commits to a spot at the park, it would join fellow defense contractors Northrop Grumman and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.
