GRAND FORKS, N.D. — A first-of-its-kind study abroad experience is looking to take off at the University of North Dakota.
A group of organizers is seeking students interested in learning more about unmanned aircraft systems in an international setting for a two-week study abroad trip centered around Oslo, Norway.
As part of the Nordic Drone Exchange, students would meet Norwegian drone entrepreneurs, tour cutting-edge tech facilities and see the sights of Oslo and the surrounding area while earning UND credit.
An information session on the trip will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 9 in the UND Center for Innovation’s Idea Lab. Pizza will be provided
Students interested in applying can fill out an application online at the UND International Center website. The application deadline is March 20.
An estimated cost for the trip is $3,500 to $4,500, with financial aid options available for qualifying students. For additional financial resources, students can visit the UND International Center’s scholarship page and UND’s financial aid website and financial wellness page.
